Spent the morning sweeping up the leaves that had piled up in the garden over the last week. Felt so proud of it that I decided to take pictures of the renovated garden.
View of the back part of the garden. In the foreground is a lamp that stands at one water point. You can see the completed square stone grill on the left, as well as a tiny bit of the drying area for the clothes. At the back of the photo, hidden by the trees, are steps to the temple found in the northeast of all Balinese homes.
View of the rest of the garden from the drying area.
View from the front of the property, where the rented car and motorbike are parked. You can see the temple clearly at the end of the garden, and the orange window frame indicates where the house is.
Moving a little to the right and here is a shot of the house. The smaller set of orange windows belong to the nursery that we are setting up for Baby Capodieci.
View of the parking area. The gate is on the right (unseen), a gift from our landlord to us.
The area where the previous photograph was taken from. This is just in front of our front porch, which is on the right. The cement shed is used as a storage area. Beyond the bamboo fence is the street.
View of front porch from the parking area. You can see the wooden house that was built by the workmen who did the renovations of the garden for our puppy, who is seen sitting at the bottom right hand corner. The orange windows opposite the storage area are windows to our bedroom.
The completed drying area with washing machine. The puppy likes to venture around this area while I hang out the clothes.
Lastly, the view of our open kitchen. We knocked down the wall that had the door, as well as part of the wall that seperated the kitchen from the outside cooking area; our stove, which uses LPG, is covered by the white cloth with blue strips. The brown door at the right opens to a spare room, normally used by the maid working and living at the house. You can see our newly purchased microwave oven atop the also newly purchased, bigger capacity refrigerator on the left. The smaller refrigerator will now go to the S.O.’s office, so that there will be cold drinks for the staff and clients who come to the office for meetings.
