I have been decidedly quiet in regards to entries on this blog due to several factors.
The biggest one was the arrival of my son on this April 19. This means that the Baby Capodieci blog is updated more often than this blog.
Then circumstances forced me to start getting active with freelance work again in the first week of July. Since then, it has been a flurry of activity due to annoying and repeated decision changes by a certain person whom I highly suspect is terribly insecure and insanely jealous of anyone who is more capable.
These antics on the part of an outsider resulted in mental exhaustion from battling with insignificant issues while resolutely and calmly dealing with more important items.
Thus the past couple of months flew by quickly. In this time, many things have happened in our home.
Back dog named Tigger joins the family to keep Caramel company; shows major attitude, cannot be trained despite causing holes in the garden, causes Caramel to develop jealous tendencies; both have since become firm buddies.
Rats ran across the roof; we called the pest terminators; rats are now absent.
Installed a series of filters in an attempt to ‘purify’ the water we were using for bathing and brushing our teeth; filters have to be replaced monthly!
Bought new furnishing for the home – synthetic leather couch, dark wooden bed stand, dark wooden book shelf.
I know these quick summaries do not help paint an accurate picture of our life in Bali, but I hope to be less busier soon so that fatigue will dissipate, leading to a return of inspiration for writing.
Until then, look out for sporadic postings.
